Go for Reusable Bags or Recycle Custom Made Plastic Bags

Fall Branch Elementary School recycle custom made plastic bags

Students of Fall Branch Elementary School are partnering with Food City to collect plastic bags. Their aim is to collect 10,000 plastic bags in order to get a Trex park bench made completely out of recycled plastic for their school. In doing so, these students are learning a valuable lesson about the importance of recycling plastic and the harm these bags cause the environment.

School Students Support Reusable Bags

The students of Fall Branch Elementary School have taken the initiative to partner with the supermarket chain, Food City, to collect 10,000 plastic bags by April 15. By achieving this goal, they will not only win themselves a brand new Trex park bench, but they will also learn a valuable lesson about the importance of recycling plastic.

Local residents need to learn the importance of recycled bags or even purchasing custom made reusable bags of a higher quality. These bags are now extremely affordable and are available in most supermarkets across the country. Made from a more sturdy build, these bags can last for a long time and will cater to all of your shopping needs. Single use plastic bags are usually just dumped in a landfill and while most people believe that this is a good solution, what they are not aware of is that a plastic bag can take up to 1,000 years to decompose.

Why Is It Important to Recycle Custom Made Reusable Bags

Plastic bags are extremely harmful to the environment as they are sometimes consumed by animals that are looking for food. They are also extremely harmful to the groundwater system and they release a large amount of atmospheric pollution during the manufacturing process. Custom made plastic bags are a great way to reduce the amount of plastic bags being distributed. These will last a very long time and the stylish new designs make them extremely trendy to carry around. However, if you do choose to use the regular plastic bags, make sure you recycle them to avoid increasing your carbon footprint.
