Caring, Compassion, and Common Sense – The Custom Grocery Bag
April 29, 2013 by
Are you worried about our planet? Many people are. Society is bombarded by news of worsening environmental conditions. It makes people think the problem is too big for any individual to tackle. While no one can do it alone, everyone can do their part. One of the easiest ways to help is to use a custom grocery bag.
Think about how many people shop every day. If just half of them are bringing home purchases in plastic bags, quickly, a mountain of poisonous plastic accumulates in landfills around the world. Plastic does not degrade. The toxins released will be felt by humans, animals and plants on our planet long after we are gone.
A custom grocery bag means less pollution of our environment every time it’s used. Obviously, it reduces the number of plastic bags going into landfills and littering our communities. Deciding on reusable grocery bags helps in some other not so obvious ways. First, for every plastic bag not used, carbon emissions go down because it was not transported. Fewer plastic bags littering our communities make our neighborhoods more attractive to potential home buyers and business owners. Heightened community attraction equals more sales and a better economy.
Many plastic bags wind up on the side of the road. Before you know it, some poor deer, or other innocent creature, has ingested a portion of the bag. As a direct result, Bambi gets to look forward to Cancer. Small creatures, often babies, get entangled by the handle holes in plastic bags. The ongoing cycle of bad just gets worse as those animals higher up the food chain now have less prey. The result of this pollution and other forms of environmental offenses against nature have resulted in many animal species being on the verge of extinction.
You can help. We all can. Stop using plastic and go with your very own custom bag. Custom bags are durable. They won’t leave you stranded in the driveway with all of your purchases at your feet like a flimsy plastic bag can. Custom bags are fun in that they allow one to make any fashion statement desired. Pockets for a calculator and coupons are highly useful additions. How can you go wrong with something that helps the planet, makes a fashion statement and is practical?
